New Balance 993 Limited Edition

It is funny how a “Made in USA” Limited Edition footwear like the New Balance 993 could hit the shores of Japan first before it is finally made available to the selected shops in the country where it was supposedly made. This is what happened to the New Balance 993 Limited Edition which is now selling in Japan but will hit the US in the next few months.

The New Balance 993 Limited Edition has a grey mesh and suede upper with a black heel panel and midsole in black. The shoe model “993” is displayed prominently around the heel in a horizontal manner. The outsole, on the other hand, sports the Ndurance technology from New Balance.

The grey and black colorway of the New Balance 993 Limited Edition is a classic design but thanks to the use of different shades of grey on the upper has given the sneaker a more interesting look.

The New Balance 993 Special Edition in pink colorway will be launched to celebrate the 20th anniversary of New Balance. The company sponsors the Susan G. Komen for the Cure which is committed to finding a cure for breast cancer. New Balance associated integrated marketing manager Chris Mann said aside from the Special Edition running shoes they will also donate $1 million to the cause.

Mann said that by promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyle the company hopes to reach a large number of consumers and in turn help reduce the risk of breast cancer.
