It was in 1994 when Nike first introduced and dropped the lightest basketball sneaker at that time, the Nike Air Go LWP. After 16 years of waiting and months of eavesdropping, Nike has finally rereleased the classic basketball sneaker and this time in wolf grey/black-white colorway.
The Nike Air Go LWP or “Lightweight Performance” was one of Penny Hardaway’s first sneakers in the NBA. This classic basketball sneaker is primarily composed of leather sections in combination with mesh on the collar and tongue. The upper of the Nike Air Go LWP that was recently released is highlighted in black and white concoction with touch of wolf grey on the side panels, midsole, and Nike branding. Other details include the “Flight” embroidery on the collar, trail-inspired black and white shoelaces, and zigzag patterned outsole.
Not sure if Nike will release the Nike Air Go LWP in other colorways this month but this wolf grey/black-white colorway is certainly available now at select online retailers for $110.
