Nike selected 10 football teams for their 2010 Pro Combat Program this season and one of those teams is the Virginia Tech Hokies. Being one of the chosen teams, the Hokies received their custom on-field gears including uniforms and this Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer “Virginia Tech”.

Instead of using Virginia Tech Hokies’ maroon, Nike has done their uniforms and footwear in black to honor their prestigious Corps of Cadets. Highlighted primarily in black, the Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer for Virginia Tech is accentuated with hints of orange found on the all over trimming, sock liner, Nike swoosh on the back heel, and Huarache logo on the tongue label. Like the other Huaraches, this version also has mesh inner sock that is secured by leather exoskeleton. Additional features on the upper include the tonal shoelaces and mid-foot strap with grey Nike branding. Matching this upper is the black midsole atop of the orange outsole with Virginia Tech branding.

Virginia Tech’s custom uniforms are now available at Nike accounts and online store while the availability of their Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer remains unknown.
