When it’s a Kobe sneaker, it must be good. That should be the motto of every Kobe sneaker from Nike since his signature sneaker really good in one way or another. There is however something wrong with the colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe V ‘Away’ sneaker but we just can’t put it into something coherent.
After a closer inspection, we realized that the color scheme of this sneaker does not seem to blend too well compared to the other Kobe colorways. But we believe in the saying “to each his own” which means there is a color scheme for every sneaker lover in town and this one might be palatable to the more adventurous ones.
The Nike Zoom Kobe V ‘Away’ sneaker comes in the popular Lakers color scheme. However, the beauty of the sneaker comes in the texture starting with the covered flywire design on the side panels. The toe and midfoot areas are made more interesting by the shiny and scale-like material.
Accent comes in the form of the yellow and black speckled shoelaces, the yellow Nike swoosh with the purple outline, the yellow heel panel and Kobe’s logo on the black tongue.
The sneaker’s black and purple midsole is unique not because of its color, but because of Kobe’s number 24 etched on the front part.
