Pink is not only associated with Hello Kitty and other things cute, but also with the breast cancer campaign. This is the same color being sported by the Nike Zoom Soldier III - Think Pink sneaker, to make you all aware of the malady known as breast cancer.

And to heighten the campaign for breast cancer awareness, the WNBA Atlanta Dream players wore the Nike Zoom Soldier III - Think Pink sneaker during last week’s game against the Seattle Storm. Fans were treated not only to pink and white sneakers, but also to matching jerseys!

While the Nike Zoom Soldier III - Think Pink sneaker will only be worn by the players to raise breast cancer awareness, we hope that one day other people will also have the chance to wear the shoe and promote awareness of this malady someday. After all, why create something for a worthy cause and stop there, when you can raise funds by releasing the sneaker for other people to enjoy?

Even coach Marynell Meadors joined the campaign by wearing pink blazers. Breast cancer is significant to Meadors’ family since her mother was diagnosed with it in 1982 and thanks to such early diagnosis and mastectomy, she lived 20 more years.
